To prevent electric shock, it must be installed to prevent water from entering the unit, or installed away from showers, tubs, etc. Never locate a fireplace where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.

Fresh air inlets are necessary for proper airflow to the underside unit. Failure to provide a fresh air inlet may lead to diminished flame performance and damage to the fireplace.
